Wine Communicators of Australia (WCA) has today announced the finalists in 9 categories of the 2020 Wine Communicator Awards.
Fifteen experienced and respected wine industry professionals have judged the entries in the award categories, with three panels each assessing two or three categories each. The New Wine Writer of the Year Award is judged independently by Gourmet Traveller WINE judging panel.
The overall Wine Communicator of the Year Award will then be chosen from the category winners by the WCA Board and announced at an online awards ceremony to be held on Wednesday 18th November 2020.
WCA Chair Marni Cook says, “With the challenges faced in 2020, it’s encouraging to see that the Australia wine community continues to support initiatives such as the Wine Communicator Awards. This year we have received a record number of entries and the standards just seem to be getting higher. It is evident that now more than ever individuals and teams are embracing all forms of communication to share their story.”
