The Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) is the Australian grape and wine industry’s own research organisation. It supports a sustainable and successful grape and wine industry through world class research, practical solutions and knowledge transfer.

The AWRI offers a range of education programs including the Advanced Wine Assessment Course, the Advanced Viticulture Course and Research to Practice workshops.

TAFE SA has been a leader in wine and spirits education for more than 30 years. Delivered by industry experts, our globally recognised professional courses aim to develop comprehensive product knowledge and tasting skills, covering the significant wines and wine regions of the world.
WSET offers qualifications across four levels, from one-day beginner courses through to an expert level diploma. Wine qualification levels 1 to 4 are recognised by the UK Government (Ofqual). WSET qualifications are globally recognised as the international standard in wine and spirit knowledge. They are designed to inspire and empower those who are just starting out in their careers, as well as established professionals, and the many enthusiasts who have a passion for wine, spirit and sake.
Wine Business Solutions (WBS) has, for 17 years, been the only private provider of wine business education in Australia. Over 1300 wine business owners and senior managers across Australia NZ and South Africa have attended WBS’ 2 days workshops. WBS uses original research into the most profitable and highest growth sales channels to inform global best practice management consulting advice.
Halliday Wine Companion recently launched Halliday Wine Academy, an education platform dedicated to helping wine lovers and professionals grow their knowledge.

Our Introduction to Wine course aims to empower you with a good understanding of the Australian wine landscape, how wine is made, how to describe wine, how to approach food and wine matching and handy tips that address common wine questions.
