Wine Communicators of Australia (WCA) is delighted to announce that the flagship Sydney Royal Wine Show Trophy Winners Lunch is to be held at the Hyatt Regency Sydney on Friday 18 August 2023, 12.30pm – 3.30pm.

The WCA Sydney Royal Wine Show Trophy Winners Lunch provides a chance to immerse yourself in this year’s trophy and award-winning wines and hear from the Chair of Judges Ms Sarah Crowe, while enjoying a delicious three-course meal.

This year’s Master of Ceremonies is Angus Hughson, a highly regarded wine journalist, critic, and publisher, who tells the great Australian wine story through his various media roles. Angus is Australian Editor for Vinous, Co-Publisher of The Australian Ark, founder of Winepilot and co-publisher of The Vintage Journal.

A highlight of the day is the announcement of the winner of the NSW Legend of the Vine.  This prestigious award recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the Australian wine industry.  Previous winners include: Andrew Caillard MW, Sandra Przibilla, Lyndey Milan OAM and Huon Hooke.

Along with enjoying noteworthy, award and trophy winning wines, guests will have the opportunity to win fantastic raffle prizes and celebrate in style with over 250 guests from all walks of the wine industry. Following the event, everyone is welcome to celebrate with after-party drinks at a nearby venue.
