Best Winery Website

This award acknowledges a wine website that combines outstanding design, creativity and usability (UX) with current, engaging and relevant content for its desired audience. Consideration will be given to the goal of the website, ecommerce experience, integration of key digital mediums (e.g. video) ability to engage with the audience as part of broader digital ecosystem.

Entry criteria:

  1. Open to Australian wine businesses with a published website.
  2. The website must have been live, updated and in English between 31 July 2023 and 31 July 2024

Entry Fee:

An entry fee of $55 inc GST applies to every award nomination submission for this category.

Judging criteria:

The judges will consider the following with reference to each nomination:

  • The design of the website – its look and feel and how compatible it is across a range of devices i.e. mobile, desktop, tablet.
  • The functionality and user experience of the website – is it user friendly, mobile enhanced?
  • Its creativity and originality – do it provide a unique experience for the end user.
  • Its relevance and reach – are the content relevant to the target audience and driving traffic to the site? Some insights using GA4/ Google analytics to show performance over the campaign period and specific improvement on key metrics
  • Ability to achieve results against core website objectives (e.g. sales, vs information, wine club sign ups etc)


The winner will receive: one year’s membership to WCA (valued at $181.50), a category trophy and exclusive WCA 2024 award-winner print and web graphics to use in personal marketing and communications.
