Event Attendee Terms and Conditions

  1. Introduction
    These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern attendance and participation in events organised by Wine Communicators of Australia (“WCA”). By registering for or attending any WCA event, you (“Attendee”) agree to comply with these Terms.
  2. Eligibility
    Events are open to individuals aged 18 years and over. Some events may be restricted to industry professionals or members of the WCA. Proof of age or professional affiliation may be required.
  3. Code of Conduct
    WCA is committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and professional environment. All Attendees must adhere to the following standards:
    • Treat all individuals with respect, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, age, or professional background.
    • Refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behaviour, including offensive language, gestures, or conduct.
    • Engage in responsible alcohol consumption and comply with all relevant laws and venue policies.
    • Respect the event schedule, speakers, exhibitors, and fellow attendees.
    • Dress and behave in a manner appropriate to a professional setting.

WCA reserves the right to remove any Attendee who violates these standards without refund or recourse.

  1. Health and Safety
    Attendees must comply with all health and safety guidelines issued by the venue, local authorities, and WCA. This includes any COVID-19 protocols, food safety regulations, and responsible service of alcohol requirements.
  2. Photography and Media
    By attending, you consent to being photographed or recorded for promotional and archival purposes. If you do not wish to be included, please notify event staff in advance at wca@winecommunicators.com.au.
  3. Liability
    WCA is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to property incurred during the event, except where required by law. Attendees participate at their own risk.
  4. Cancellation and Refunds
    Event registrations may be cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy stated at the time of booking. WCA reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events due to unforeseen circumstances.
  5. Privacy
    Personal information collected during registration will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not share your data with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
  6. Amendments
    WCA reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued attendance at events constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.
