Milton has worked as a professional photographer for over 50 years. Early on in his career he worked as a press photographer based in Adelaide, Sydney and London for The Australian and London Daily Express newspapers. He returned to Australia in 1976 and moved into freelance photography specialising in Editorial & Corporate Advertising. 
 
In the mid 1970’s, he was the Freelance Photographers’ rep on the then AJA, Freelance National Committee, and has been involved in various industry associations ever since. He is a Fellow and Triple Master Photographer of the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photographers) and was the first National President of ACMP (The Australian Society of Advertising, Commercial and Magazine Photographers). 
 
He owned and operated Southlight Photo Agency in various forms for over 25 years. For many years, this was the base for six freelance photographers who worked from the same studio in Adelaide’s CBD. 
 
Milton has photographed the wine trade since the early 1980’s when he photographed Brian Croser in the very young Tiers Vineyard and with Bob Mayne on ‘The Great Australian Wine Book‘. During 2012 together with Philip White he self published the award winning book ‘A year in the life of Grange’.
 
Milton is now semi retired, lives in Mclaren Vale and runs the web site ‘People of Wine’
