Jeni Port is a wine writer, judge & author based in Melbourne. She established the first wine column at The (then) Sun News-Pictorial newspaper (now Herald-Sun), and was the longest serving wine writer on The Age (30 years). Today she writes for most Australian wine magazines including Winestate, Wine Selector, James Halliday Wine magazine and Gourmet Traveller Wine as well as Meininger’s Wine Business International magazine based in Europe.
She has recently been invited to join the tasting panel for the annual James Halliday Companion and website.

In 2018 she was named Legend of the Vine by the Victorian chapter of the Wine Communicators of Australia. She is the deputy chair of the Australian and Chinese Wine List of the Year Awards and is a foundation member of the Advisory Board for the Australian Women In Wine Awards, now in its fifth year. She regularly judges wine at Australian wine shows and overseas including at Mundus Vini and Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.
