Best Australian Wine Communications Campaign
This award is in recognition of an individual or team who has achieved extraordinary success in delivering a highly effective wine-related marketing, advertising, public relations, or integrated communications campaign executed in Australia. It acknowledges the clever use of professional marketing communications principles and innovation to achieve a desired and measurable objective and outcome for an Australian wine brand.
Key to judging success will be how well the campaign performed against budget and objectives, rather than the scale of the campaign per se.
Entry criteria:
- Open to individuals or teams living and working in Australia who work in or in conjunction with the wine industry and who have undertaken/developed a marketing or public relations campaign for an Australian wine brand within Australia.
- Teams can submit an entry in conjunction with an agency or a third-party supplier.
- The award category includes but is not limited to: brand revitalisation; consumer acquisition; consumer retention and brand loyalty; launch of a new brand; launch of a new product or range; brand positioning and promotion; experiential campaign; integrated public relations communication; crisis response; direct to consumer marketing; direct to business marketing; e-commerce; digital marketing; and category growth campaigns.
- The Campaign must have been executed in the English language between 1 July 2024 and 31 July 2025.
Entry Fee:
An entry fee of $55 inc GST applies to every award nomination submission for this category.
Judging criteria:
- Clarity on the details of the campaign, its structure and its intended successes.
- Relevance of the campaign content to the audience and the industry.
- Creativity and originality of content.
- Degree to which the content engaged the audience.
- Effective execution of the campaign in the marketplace.
- Campaign Performance Metrics against key desired outcomes – E.g. Return on Ad Spend, Reach, Engagement, Brand awareness, Brand preference, Conversions, Budget Variance etc.
- Demonstrated commitment to developing ongoing excellence in wine communication will be considered favourably. This includes membership of Wine Communicators of Australia.
Prize:
The winner will receive: one year’s membership to WCA valued at $190 (or 1 free renewal for an existing member), a category trophy, and exclusive WCA 2025 award-winner print and web graphics to use in personal marketing and communications.
