“Brokenwood has been a member of WCA since 2016.  Apart from tickets to Sydney Royal Wine Show lunch, we value the educational webinars run by the WCA, which connects us in regional Australia to the latest industry advice. I have also participated for the last two years in its Wine Industry  Mentoring Program, which I find as rewarding as I hope the mentees do. Finally, the Wine Media Guide provides an annual update for wineries to ensure its comms are as effective as possible. We’d recommend membership.”

“I have been a member of the Wine Communicators of Australia for over a decade and it has been an important tool in my career in the wine industry in marketing and public relations.

Attending events in both Sydney and Adelaide has helped me forge new professional contacts and build relationships with wine writers and industry members as well as taste a vast array of wines. The online webinars are relevant and informative and keep me up-to-date with current trends in branding, social media and more. All guests are knowledgeable and experts in their field and offer valuable tips and advice.”

“Wine Network Consulting, has been successful in the wine industry for over 30 years and a big part of that success is because we place great importance on networking, as our name implies. There are plenty of forums for the straight technical aspects of viticulture, winemaking, engineering etc. but keeping up with the industry trends in the areas outside of our core technical business is also important.

WCA provides us with great connections to the broader base of the industry, like journalists, retailers, restaurateurs, wholesalers and even knowledge hungry consumers.”

We find the meetings, forums, video-conferences that WCA present are extremely worthwhile and excellent value for money.”

“Liquid Ideas’ bread and butter is in communications so it’s essential we align with WCA year on year.

It’s a great way of staying ahead of the next best ‘things’ in the industry while supporting those who maybe have been along for the ride over many years. We also love the camaraderie the awards and events bring. The Sydney Royal Wine Show lunch is always a highlight!”

“As a student member of WCA, I can take full advantage of different benefits for my professional development. One of my most valuable advantages was being part of the Wine Industry Mentor Program 2021. My mentor guided me to define my career pathway during the program and network with wine professionals leaders. I can only express gratitude to him; he helped to ‘uncork’ my wine communication skills and connect with the wine community.”
