Best Winery Website

This award acknowledges a winery website that combines outstanding design, creativity and usability (UX) with current, engaging and relevant content for its desired audience. Consideration will be given to the goal of the website, e-commerce experience, integration of key digital mediums (eg video) ability to engage with the audience as part of the broader digital ecosystem.

Entry criteria:

  1. Open to individuals, organisations or businesses who publish Australian wine-focused websites and applications.
  2. The website or app must have been live, updated and in English between 31 July 2023 and 31 July 2024.

Entry Fee:

An entry fee of $55 inc GST applies to every award nomination submission for this category.

Judging criteria:

The judges will consider the following with reference to each nomination:

  • The design of the website – its look and feel and how compatible it is across a range of devices i.e. mobile, desktop, tablet.
  • The functionality and user experience of the website – is it user-friendly, mobile enhanced?
  • Its creativity and originality – does it provide a unique experience for the end user.
  • Its relevance and reach – Is the content relevant to the target audience and driving traffic to the site? Some insights using GA4/ Google analytics to show performance over the campaign period and specific improvement on key metrics
  • Ability to achieve results against core website objectives (eg sales, vs information, wine club sign-ups etc)

Prize:

The winner will receive: one year’s membership to WCA (valued at $181.50), a category trophy and exclusive WCA 2024 award-winner print and web graphics to use in personal marketing and communications.
