WCA’s Victorian Chapter is hosting Wine Intelligence, a London-based research and wine consumer insights agency dedicated to helping the global wine industry better understand its customers and achieve success, for a Melbourne workshop at Worksmith’s Collingwood space, a hub for the F&B industry on November 11. Presented by Wine Intelligence Co-founder & CEO – Lulie Halstead and Country Manager, Australia & NZ – Rodney Sammut, this workshop will focus on premium wine consumer behaviour. Lulie and Rodney will be reviewing insights and trends amongst premium wine drinkers within a global perspective, supplemented by a deep-dive in the US market, building on extensive new research and insights.

The workshop will explore the following topics

  • Who is buying and drinking premium wine?
  • What drives the choices and motivations of premium wine drinkers?
  • Which wine types – countries, regions and styles – are succeeding with premium drinkers?
  • How does the growing SOLA (sustainable, organic; lower alcohol and alternative) wine phenomenon interact with the premium drinker

This workshop will also feature a deep dive case study of Premium drinkers in the USA market, based on expert interviews, consumer discussion groups, and a wide-ranging usage and attitude survey with a nationally representative sample of premium drinkers.
